Millicent Cummings

Millicent Cummings holds a BFA in Fine Art from Parsons School of Design in NYC and has taught art and/or music through venues such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC Police Athletic League, San Fransisco Academy of Art University, Kaua'i Academy of the Creative Arts, Rainbow Academy, YWCA and numerous other learning environments.

Millicent has shown her visual work in group and one-woman exhibitions across the country and was curator and proprietor of her own gallery on Kaua'i called Gallery M. She has been involved as an actress in productions like The Vagina Monologues, improv comedy troops and videos, as well as hosting her own radio program called 'Kaua'i Live” on KKCR. Her current passion is film, presently working as a producer with Hoike Kaua'i creating music videos and short documentaries for television that can also be viewed at  www.youtube.com/millicentcummings.  She has produced children's books, books of poetry and festivals like The Wahine Fest and the Hanapepe Folk Festival, now in its 8th year.
